Setting up your organization

Invite members, assign roles, and manage the shared SF credit pool and billing.

An organization is your team's shared workspace. Everyone in the org sees the same projects and draws from one shared pool of square-footage credits — so you manage billing in one place instead of paying per person.

Use the org switcher in the header to move between organizations you belong to.

Inviting members

  • Invite teammates by email from the organization's member settings.
  • Invited members join the same org and immediately share its projects and SF pool.
  • Each member is assigned a role that controls what they can do.

Roles

  • Owner — full control of the org, including billing, members, and deletion. Typically the person who created it.
  • Admin — manages members and purchases SF credits, but can't delete or take over the org.
  • Member — creates projects and does the day-to-day labeling and estimating work.
  • Viewer — read-only access to projects; can't create projects or spend credits.
Give estimators and field staff the Member role; reserve Admin for whoever handles purchasing credits, and use Viewer for clients or subcontractors who only need to look.

The shared SF pool and billing

  • All projects across the org draw down a single square-footage balance.
  • Creating a project deducts its roof's SF from the pool; larger roofs cost more SF.
  • When the balance runs low, an Owner or Admin tops it up from Billing.
If a project needs more square footage than the pool has left, creation is blocked until you purchase more credits.
