Your first login: the labeling walkthrough
Why new users hit a required, hands-on labeling tutorial before the dashboard unlocks.
Start the interactive walkthroughThe first time you sign in, the dashboard is replaced by a single screen titled "Let's label your first roof." This is the required labeling walkthrough. Because every measurement, cut sheet, and proposal is built from labeled roofs, the platform makes sure you've done it once before turning you loose.
There's no Skip, Defer, or Dismiss — the walkthrough is intentionally the only path forward. It takes about a minute.
What the walkthrough covers
- Draw — click the corners of each roof plane to trace its outline.
- Label — tag each edge: eave, ridge, hip, valley, and so on.
- Save — lock in your work, which completes the tutorial.
How it works
- You're dropped into the real labeler with an actual aerial photo of a demo roof — not a static slideshow.
- The Coach panel guides you through each step in real time and advances as you complete each action.
- You'll trace three real planes and label every edge before the Save step unlocks.
- Once you finish, the gate disappears and the full dashboard is permanently available.
Treat the walkthrough as a dry run for the real thing — the draw → label → save flow you learn here is exactly what you'll use on every paid project.
If the tutorial won't start
The walkthrough relies on a configured demo project. If you see a notice that the demo project isn't set up, that's an admin/configuration step — an administrator needs to set the tutorial demo project before the walkthrough can run.
Until the walkthrough is completed, the dashboard tabs and project tools stay hidden. The header (org switcher and sign-out) remains available the whole time.
